Join our free, one day, CPD-accredited programme developed for the BMA and a medico-political setting. The programme will equip elected members with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to uphold values of equality and inclusivity and create a culture of respect and collaboration in committees and across the BMA.
Having launched in September 2015, the course has proven to be popular, with nearly 400 members trained to date. Participants learn how to:
- improve leadership and team performance by recognising the benefits of differences between people in our diverse workplaces
- understand how the law supports a diverse workplace
- identify how prejudice unintentionally creeps into our workplaces
- discover how to address intentional and unintentional bias, and the consequences of failing to address them.

Interactive workshop approach
The programme is interactive and scenario-based. Sessions are provided by an external facilitator and take place throughout the year at BMA House in London and in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

This programme is open to all BMA committee members.
When dates have been confirmed, we will contact committee members directly via email to advertise the programme.
