Useful statistics

According to statistics by the GMC, about 40% of doctors practising in the UK qualified outside of the UK – UK healthcare relies on the skills, experience, knowledge, and perspectives that international medical graduates contribute to patient care.

There are more than 60 GMC recognised specialties in the UK and many different grades and roles for doctors, depending on experience and whether you are in training or have qualified to practise independently.
