About this webinar
Cisheteronormativity refers to the assumption that being straight and cisgender is the default or normal way of being. This assumption can lead to poor care and outcomes for LGBTQ+ patients, but can also impact on the wellbeing and acceptance of LGBTQ+ doctors within the profession. This panel discussion, hosted by PROUD@BMA, will bring together several medical leaders with both expertise and lived experience to discuss the impact of cisheteronormativity within the profession, and how best to support, empower, and celebrate queer doctors.
