The conference is open to all resident doctor BMA members. Places are limited and you must register to attend. Registration will open at midday on Tuesday 10 February 2026.

Conference format

It is possible to attend the conference either in person at BMA House, London or online. You will be able to specify how you would like to attend on the registration form.

First time attendees event – Friday 17 April 2025

If you have never attended a BMA conference before, there is an optional training session the day before that will prepare you for the event. This is an opportunity to discuss key issues, learn about conference procedures and develop motions to be debated during Saturday's conference. Those who go to the first time attendees event are also invited to an informal dinner in the evening. If you would like to attend, please let us know via the online registration form. Places are limited and allocated to first time BMA conference attendees on a first come, first served basis.

Conference - Saturday 18 April 2025

The resident doctors conference is a full day event.

Expenses and getting time off work

Download information about expenses and getting time off work to attend the conference. Upon registration, you will receive a standard letter from the BMA outlining your trade union leave entitlement to attend the conference.
