What to expect from this event
LNC chairs, or a deputy if they are unable to attend, are invited to attend this one-day conference, aimed at providing information and support. Meet and discuss your role with other LNC chairs, pick up tips and find out how the BMA can support you in your role during these challenging times.
On the day we will be having:
- a look ahead at branch of practice priorities
- updates on BMA member relations activities
- plenary session about AAs and PAs
- breakout sessions giving in depth looks at BMA charters, SAS career journeys, local pension policies, digital campaign tools for local reps.
In person attendance
LNC chairs or a deputy from the LNC are invited to attend in person at BMA House, including plenary sessions during the morning and breakout sessions during the afternoon. Please see details below about expenses.
Online attendance option
It will also be possible for accredited LNC representatives to attend the conference plenary sessions online. Participation in the afternoon workshop sessions will only be available to in-person attendees. The plenary sessions can also be made available online for other accredited LNC representatives.
Registration fees
The conference is free of charge for LNC chairs or their nominated representatives to attend, but you must book your place in advance. You must be a current BMA member to attend this event.
Expenses
The BMA will meet your reasonable travel expenses to attend this conference: in order to reduce costs to the Association, please would you make your travel arrangements as soon as possible, taking advantage of cheaper fares. Please note that standard class train fares will be paid for journeys of up to 90 minutes each way, with first class fares payable for longer journeys.
