About this event

As an LNC chair, you or your deputy/ nominated representative, are invited to attend this one-day conference, aimed at providing information and support. Meet and discuss your role with other LNC chairs, pick up tips and find out how the BMA can support you in your role during these challenging times.

Registration will open at BMA House from 9.30am with the conference starting at 10am. The event will close at 4.30pm.

What to expect

On the day we will be:

• looking ahead at branch of practice priorities
• finding out more about the LNC campaigns officer role
• getting the vote out: learning from RDC successes
• holding interactive sessions and sharing top tips on responding to local issues
• offering breakout sessions on key topics including job planning and annualisation, MHPS, sexual safety, and supporting resident doctors.

Online attendance option

It will also be possible to attend the conference plenary sessions online.  Participation in the afternoon workshop sessions will only be available to in-person attendees. The plenary sessions can also be made available online for other accredited LNC representatives.

Registration fees

The conference is free of charge for LNC chairs, or deputies / nominated representative to attend, but you must book your place in advance. You must also be a current BMA member to attend this event.

Expenses

The BMA will meet your reasonable travel expenses to attend this conference in line with the expenses policy, rates and limits. Overnight accommodation is also subject to the expenses policy, rates and limits. The relevant documents will be sent with confirmation of registration.
