The AGM (annual general meeting) is responsible for the appointment of auditors, approval of the annual report and financial statements, and considers any proposed amendments to the articles of association or any matters that the council wish to be discussed.

The 2023 BMA Annual General Meeting will be held at 12:20pm on Tuesday 4th July 2023.

The AGM is open to all members. Those members who are not already an ARM representative and wish to attend virtually must register at least 48 hours in advance. Details on how to sign into the virtual AGM platform will be sent closer to the time.

Proxies

You may appoint another person (who need not be a member of the BMA) to exercise all or any of that member’s rights to attend, speak and vote at the meeting.

If you wish to appoint a proxy, a proxy appointment form is available from Lizzy Dijeh ([email protected]) and must be returned not less than 48 hours before the meeting.

As the BMA is a company limited by guarantee, a member cannot appoint multiple proxies.

While only those attending the meeting are able to vote during the meeting, the proxy process does allow members to register their vote in advance and be cast at the meeting.
