Next month, hundreds of doctors and medical students from across the UK – representatives of our entire membership – will come together in Belfast to discuss, debate and agree your BMA’s policy for the coming year.
ARM 2024 represents our opportunity to reflect on the past 12 months and look to the future and the challenges we as doctors and the wider healthcare community will undoubtedly face as we head into 2025 and beyond.
Our agenda, prioritised by your elected agenda committee, covers topics that our members want to see debated and policy agreed on: pay and terms and conditions, the role of physician associates, how we can best support international medical graduates, medical ethics and human rights, international affairs, the healthcare challenges faced by rural or coastal communities, and the future direction of how the BMA works to best support and represent our members.
How you can take part
This year’s annual representative meeting will take place across Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 June with delegates meeting either in-person at Belfast’s ICC or virtually via an online platform.
But our annual conference is not just about those 'in the room' – it’s an opportunity for the whole of our membership to engage in shaping our longstanding policy and the topics on which the BMA fights for its members.
Whether that is through downloading the agenda to see what topics are up for discussion or reading updates from each of our branch of practice committee chairs to see what they have been doing on your behalf.
