A one-day conference to support LNC chairs or their nominated representative.

The conference is free for LNC chairs or their nominated representatives to attend (must be current BMA members). You need to book your place in advance. 

Who should attend

LNC chairs, or a deputy if they are unable to attend, are invited to attend this one-day conference, aimed at providing information and support. Meet and discuss your role with other LNC chairs, pick up tips and find out how the BMA can support you in your role during these challenging times.

Registration will open from 9.30am with the conference starting at 10am, the event closes at 4.30pm.


What to expect from this event

On the day we will be:

  • hearing the latest campaign developments and organising at local and regional levels
  • finding out how to have conversations about Safe Scope of Practice for AAs and PAs
  • learning more about embedding equality in LNC work
  • myth-busting the job planning and appeals processes
  • understanding Maintaining High Professional Standards
  • getting updates on LNC workplans, the sexual safety charter and the BAME membership support review.


In person attendance

LNC chairs or a deputy from the LNC are invited to attend in person at BMA House, including plenary sessions during the morning and breakout sessions during the afternoon. Please see details below about expenses.


Online attendance option

It will also be possible to attend the conference plenary sessions online. Participation in the afternoon workshop sessions will only be available to in-person attendees. The plenary sessions can also be made available online for other accredited LNC representatives.


Registration Fees

The conference is free of charge for LNC chairs or their nominated representatives to attend, but you must book your place in advance. You must be a current BMA member to attend this event.



The BMA will meet your reasonable travel expenses to attend this conference: in order to reduce costs to the Association, please would you make your travel arrangements as soon as possible, taking advantage of cheaper fares. Please note that standard class train fares will be paid for journeys of up to 90 minutes each way, with first class fares payable for longer journeys.
