Key speakers

Chair of BMA UK Council Dr Tom Dolphin.

Dr Tom Dolphin was elected chair of BMA UK Council in June 2025. He is a consultant anaesthetist in London, is a former chair of the BMA Junior (Resident) Doctors Committee and has a track record of BMA representation at local and national level. He is focused on the embedding of the union in the workplace and advocates for the expansion of the knowledge and skills of workplace representative members to enable this to happen.
