BMA Cymru Wales works to influence Welsh legislation. We seek members' views to help us respond to consultations and inquiries by Welsh Government, Welsh Assembly committees and other organisations.

At the Welsh Assembly, assembly members regularly refer to BMA policy during debates, and our representatives are often asked to give evidence to Welsh Assembly committees.

Our priorities

We’re on hand to:

  • promote and defend our members’ rights and interests in the Welsh Assembly
  • keep politicians of all parties informed of our policy developments and new ideas
  • co-ordinate the submission of written and oral evidence to statutory committee inquiries and meetings with politicians, and all party groups.
