About the 2020 AGM

Those attending the AGM should inform us at least 48 hours in advance if they wish to speak so that this can be facilitated through the online platform (please contact: Lizzy Dijeh, [email protected]).

A member entitled to attend and vote at the meeting may appoint another person (who need not be a member of the BMA) to exercise all or any of that member’s rights to attend and to speak and vote at the meeting. If a member wishes to appoint a proxy, a form of proxy appointment is available from Lizzy Dijeh ([email protected]) and must be returned not less than 48 hours before the time of the meeting or the adjourned meeting.

As the BMA is a company limited by guarantee, a member cannot appoint multiple proxies. While only those attending the meeting are able to vote during the meeting, the proxy process does allow members to register their vote in advance and be cast at the meeting.
