Doctors who would like to get involved in how the BMA is run are urged to put themselves forward and contribute to the upcoming governance review.
The BMA is inviting those who feel they can provide a grassroots perspective on the policies and functions of the association to join the governance review’s steering group.
The review aims to examine the BMA’s policies, processes and practices and identify the strengths and weaknesses in the association’s governance structures.
Following the conclusion of the review the steering group will produce a full report detailing its findings and making recommendations on how the BMA can increase levels of transparency and good governance.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of the BMA, have strong interpersonal and decision-making skills and be able to commit to meeting for two hours every two months.
Candidates must not already be members of BMA committees.
The deadline for applications is Monday 28 October 2019.
