Doctors considering applying for a BMA research grant are reminded that the closing date for applications is March 15 at 5pm.
The BMA makes awards totalling £500,000 each year to help researchers. Applications are invited from medical practitioners and/or research scientists, and can be for either research in progress or prospective research.
In 2013, 10 research grants are on offer. The grants provide funding for subject areas including rheumatism and arthritis, cardiovascular disease, cancer and neurological disorders.
The money awarded through the grants comes from legacies left to the BMA for research.
