Banding and Monitoring Advice
Hours monitoring is the only way of demonstrating the true hours you work for your employer and is a contractual obligation on both parties.
A variety of different data needs to be collected and this is done through individuals recording the actual hours that they work. Monitoring has two purposes:
- To check that you are on the correct banding allocation.
- To check that you are complying with the New Deal limits on contracted hours, hours worked, duty periods and rest requirements.
