Free and open to all junior doctors, both BMA members and non-members. Places are allocated regionally on a first come, first served basis.
Who can attend?
The conference is open to all junior doctors.
A limited number of places are available for those working in the following areas:
- North Thames
- Scotland
- Wessex.
Applications from any other areas will be placed on the waiting list.
Conference format
Grassroots seminar - Friday 7 May 2021
If you have never attended a BMA conference before, there is an optional training session the day before that will prepare you for the event. This is an opportunity to discuss key issues, learn about conference procedures and develop motions to be debated during Saturday's conference.
Conference - Saturday 8 May 2021
The conference will open at 9am and is due to close at 5pm.
Getting time off work
Upon registration, you will receive a standard letter from the BMA outlining your trade union leave entitlement to attend the conference.
Motions
The agenda committee are inviting all junior doctor members to vote on a select number of motions to be included in the agenda:
- chose your top 8 motions from the book of motions
- cast your vote - please note you will need your BMA membership number to vote, and any votes cast with an invalid number will be discounted.
Voting closes on Thursday 8th April at 5pm.
