A day of talks and workshops to help enhance recognition, success and wellbeing in your career.

BMA members and non-members are invited to attend this one-day regional conference for doctors in the West Midlands.

The day aims to provide inspiration and support; promoting the personal and professional development of women in medicine and society. 

Join fellow medical students, consultants, SAS doctors, GPs and junior doctors, and share your experiences with colleagues from across the region.

We will be holding workshops where you can discuss: 

  • mindfulness and communication 
  • wellbeing and lifestyle medicine 
  • menopause in the workplace. 

We will also be identifying opportunities and strategies to:

  • help women progress in their careers in medicine
  • develop as leaders
  • overcome challenges – including discrimination, and combining work and family life,
  • build resilience and manage work pressure.

There will be networking time and presentations by leaders who are making a real difference, including:

Sally Brett, BMA head of equality, inclusion and culture, professionalism and guidance

You will have access to tailored employment and financial advice from expert staff, and will receive a certificate of attendance for your appraisal review.
