Mindfulness is a tried and tested way to manage stress and/or pain and increase your well being. The practices and ideas are accessible and portable and can be fitted into a busy life, there is also a strong evidence base for its efficacy.
This is an opportunity to learn more about mindfulness and to experience mindful practices, it may wet your appetite to learn more and hopefully you will go away with some simple concepts and practices that you can incorporate into your day.
Sally Cherry is a Breathworks Accredited Mindfulness Teacher and a member of the UK Register of Teachers of Mindfulness. She has been teaching Mindfulness for Stress and Mindfulness for Health for 6 years after finding mindfulness very helpful during a very difficult period in her life.
She mostly runs community based (self referral) stress courses but has also run health courses for organisations such as the Birmingham MS society.
We'll start with a buffet at 6.30, and begin at 7pm.
