GP cluster networks in Wales

The Welsh Government’s 2010 vision, Setting the Direction, set out the concept of GP cluster networks. The aim was that GP cluster networks would work collaboratively together and with other partners to meet local patient needs, as well as support the ongoing work of a locality network.

There are 64 cluster networks across Wales, serving populations of between 30 and 50 thousand patients. Clusters are determined by individual local health boards in each area. A list of clusters under each health board can be found below.

Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board

There are 12 GP cluster networks, or community networks as they are known locally, within the Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board area.

These are:

  • Bridgend East Network
  • Bridgend North Network

There are 12 GP cluster networks, or neighborhood care networks as they are known locally, within the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board area.
