BMA response to GP trainee deportation

Following emergence of the case that a GP trainee is to be deported by the Home Office for what appears to be a simple oversight, BMA chair of council, Dr Chaand Nagpaul, has written to the Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, calling for this case to be reviewed and the decision reversed.

The NHS is facing shortages of doctors in all specialties and can ill-afford to lose those that it already has.
