Experiences of students on placements and GPs working with medical students
We believe that working in General Practice is a rewarding and engaging career choice and as such this survey aims to explore whether the current pressures within primary care and the issues around professional denigration are affecting students’ experiences on placement and their career selection.
Importantly, we want to reach out to GP’s to gather their experiences of these placements, especially as it may be an additional responsibility taken on by a GP who is not a trainer, but looking to share their expertise.
We are happy that RCGP supports this project and what we hope to achieve. We note the excellent Destination GP report and its recommendations, and we wish to continue this conversation and explore experiences on placement.
We want to hear views and experiences of how your placement has been.
GPs who work with medical students
We want to hear from GPs who give their time and energy to working with medical students. We understand that this is something that is done often in addition to everyday responsibilities. We would be keen to capture and understand your perspectives.
