Juniors to re-enter contract negotiations
At the 2018 conference junior doctor committee chair Jeeves Wijesuriya announced, 'The BMA and NHS employers has agreed in principle on delivery of the 2018 review of the 2016 contract.
While we remain in dispute over its introduction, all parties will enter formal collaborative bargaining as equal partners via which we will jointly review and negotiate changes. Following conclusion of this process the package of negotiated changes will be put to consultation by BMA members, and if accepted the dispute ended and contract collectively agreed.'
