GPC UK meeting information

The UK general practitioners committee (GPC) meets twice a year to discuss the latest issues facing general practice.

The GPC is the only body that represents all NHS GPs in the UK, regardless of whether they are BMA members.

We negotiate the GP contract with NHS Employers, and work to improve the care of patients and the working lives of doctors.

Who should attend

These meetings are open to GPC members.

For more information on how to become a GPC member contact the GPC office.

The committee also welcomes observers from local medical committees (LMCs). LMCs interested in sending an observer to a GPC meeting should contact the GPC office to arrange a suitable date. All travel and other expenses for LMC observers must be met by the relevant LMC. A maximum of 3 LMC observers may attend any one meeting.
