BMA foundation for medical research

The work of the BMA foundation for medical research (formerly known as BMA research grants) continues to be a success, funding important, innovative research to advance medical research and the medical profession. We have been awarding funds to support medical research since 1839.

Every year, around 10 research grants totalling £500,000 are awarded to winning applications.

The grants provide funding for a variety of different subject areas, ranging from research into rheumatism and arthritis, to cardiovascular disease, cancer and neurological disorders.

The 2016 funding cycle has closed and winners announced.
