BMA Local - North East London

London map north east London 16x9

This BMA Local covers all BMA members (just over 3000) working in the London Boroughs of City & Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest, Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham. The BMA has members in GP practices across the six CCGs in the area and in six NHS Trusts.

There are currently five BMA Divisions in the area; two are active and the remaining three are currently dormant and this BMA Local gives those members an opportunity to maintain their engagement with the BMA.

Your Local Negotiation Committee (LNC)

Each of the NHS Trusts in the area have Local Negotiating Committees (LNC) which negotiate with the local Trust management and represent the views of doctors at that work place.

If you work in an NHS Trust you may want to get more involved and become a member of the LNC or you may want to raise an issue with those that sit on the LNC. You might just want to hear what is going on in your work place.

You can do all this by contacting your Industrial Relations Officer (IRO):

North East London Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP)

This will be a plan for the future transformation of health and care services in the area and how the five year forward view will be delivered across the eight local authorities in NE London.

Its aim is to meet the health and wellbeing needs of the population, improve and maintain the quality of care for the population and close the financial gap. Stakeholders from the CCGs, LAs and NHS trusts are involved.
