BMA information note on the National Institute for Health Research

MASC has put together an information note for members on the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) which is now available to download. This document outlines the role of the NIHR and it's structure, including information on NIHR Reseach, Systems and Infrastructure It also sets out how medical academics can get involved through the NIHR Faculty and research programmes.

This information note aims to:
  • provide BMA members with an overview of the role of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and its Faculty
  • outline what the NIHR has to offer as an organisation and how BMA members can get involved, and
  • direct members to the sources of research funding that attracts NIHR Faculty membership and provide a gateway to additional support.
