Healthcare workers who are found to be hepatitis C virus RNA positive should not be allowed to perform EPPs, or commence training that involves EPPs, and should be referred for specialist treatment.
Those who have responded successfully to treatment with antiviral therapy should be allowed to resume EPPs or professional training.
