Guidelines state that:
‘Employers should make every effort to arrange suitable alternative work and re-training opportunities in accordance with good general principles of occupational health and management practice.’
Postgraduate medical deans and professional bodies may also be able to provide advice and support to a doctor facing re-training or re-deployment as a result of their hepatitis C status.
