Progress reports

The Government and the MRC recommend in their Good Clinical Practice Guidelines that if during the course of a trial, results from related studies or interim results from the trial become available that have implications for the on-going trial, patient information should be changed accordingly.

It is also good practice to notify trial participants and collaborating investigators of progress with the trial and its eventual outcome. It may also be helpful to notify interested parties such as relevant charities.
