PMETB September 2005 update
The Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB) assumed its statutory powers on 30 September, 2005, taking over the work of the Specialist Training Authority and the Joint Committee for Postgraduate Training in General Practice. For the first time a single organisation is now responsible for postgraduate medical education across the United Kingdom.
