David Wrigley
David started his working life in a bank but decided to make the move to train as a doctor and studied in Sheffield.
David now works four days a week as a GP partner in Carnforth, Lancashire. He is also trustee and joint chair of Developing Patient Partnerships – www.dpp.org.uk – which is a high profile health information charity that seeks to improve the quality of information doctors and patients use in the NHS. They also campaign to help patients self care and thus use the NHS appropriately.
David is also an elected member of the BMA’s General Practitioners Committee which represents all of the UK’s GP’s. He has a strong interest in NHS IT and is currently working with the electronic prescription service which will transform the way we all deal with our prescriptions.
