Medical events
April 2008
Introduction
Requests for information about forthcoming conferences are common. Commercial services such as Eventline are comprehensive but relatively expensive to search. Casual users are advised to check the specialist medical web sites first.
The BMA and BMJ both organise and sponsor conferences throughout the year.

Specialist journals or the journals of societies or associations are good sources of news about forthcoming events. The British Journal of Plastic Surgery for example lists forthcoming events in a Notices section.
