Market research information: equipment and financial information

Introduction
The BMA library does not systematically collect market research reports because it is a current clinical library. Additionally, market research reports are expensive and often difficult to buy (some publishers will not sell research reports to libraries).
The best collection of reports and patents in the UK is kept by British Library Science Technology and Business Service at the St. Pancras British library (see the end of this page for information).
Database resources
Many different specialist databases contain financial or marketing information. Please provide your name, BMA membership number, address and telephone number. The results can be delivered by post, fax or electronic mail. Please provide the necessary details, depending on how you wish to receive the results. Charges apply to online searches. Business literature published in the UK is collected as comprehensively as possible; items published elsewhere are taken selectively.
The British Library-Lloyds TSB business line is a quick enquiry telephone service which is partially funded by sponsorship from Lloyds Bank. It provides: company information , product information or overseas contacts. Commercial rates are charged for more in-depth research projects.
