BMA Student Textbook Award
This special prize was awarded to General and Systematic Pathology 4th edition edited by J. C. E. Underwood, editor and published by Elsevier Churchill Livingstone.  It was accepted by Mr Timothy Horne, commissioning editor at Elsevier, from our guest of honour, Dame Barbara Clayton, Research Professor in Metabolism at the University of Southampton.

BMA Illustrated Book Award

This prize was awarded to Trauma und Kunst - Trauma and Art by Rut, Gaetano Benedetti and Gottfried Waser and published by Karger. Unfortunately, no-one was able to attend.

BMA Medical Book of the Year
This year,  Atlas of Clinical Ophthalmology 3rd edition received the 2005 BMA Medical Book of the Year Award.  David Spalton accepted the award on behalf of his colleagues from our guest of honour, Dame Barbara Clayton, Research Professor in Metabolism at the University of Southampton.
