2005 BMA medical book competition winners announced

The 2005 BMA Medical Book Competition Awards will be held tonight at BMA House when the winners of the specialty awards, the winner of the overall BMA Medical Book of the Year Award, and the two special prizes for student textbooks and illustrated books will be announced. The certificates will be presented by our guest of honour, Professor Dame Barbara Clayton, Honorary Research Professor in Metabolism at the University of Southampton.

The results are confidential until late on Wednesday 2 November. From then on, you can find out which of the 620 entries has won a prize. See the list of winners here

Nearly 250 patient groups and voluntary bodies have entered booklets and websites to the Patient Information Awards. More than 50 patient advocates and patient information specialists are also coming tonight to receive awards and commendations.
