Medical Academic Staff Committee
Terms of reference
To consider and act upon all matters of concern to medically qualified full-time personnel holding contracts of employment from one or more of the following organisations: a university, a medical school, the Medical Research Council, other institutions engaged in medical research.
Constitution - the main Committee
The Chief Officers (ex-officio), Chairman of the Conference of Medical Academic Representatives (ex-officio), 16 members elected by the Conference of Medical Academic Representatives (of whom at least five shall hold clinical appointments and at least five shall hold pre-clinical appointments), one by the CCSC, one by the JDC, one by the GPC, one by the MSC and two by the BDA. With the power to co-opt up to three further members in order to ensure representation of all groups of full-time medical academic staff.
(Only the Chairman of the Conference of Medical Academic Representatives and the 16 members of the Conference have voting rights.)
