Representing forensic medicine doctors
The terms of reference of the committee are to represent members of the BMA engaged in forensic medicine and to advise the BMA Council on matters affecting forensic medicine.
The committee represents, and negotiates fees for, police surgeons and forensic pathologists.
Elections for Forensic Medicine Committee 2008-09 Session
Nominations are invited for the election of:
- two forensic physicians in England and Wales, one in Northern Ireland and one in Scotland
- two forensic pathologists in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and one in Scotland
- one representative of crematorium medical referees

Voting process
The nominations received for the above FMC seats will be collated into ballot papers and sent to all members who are registered for the appropriate grade or specialty within their membership details.
