GP retainer scheme: Good news

The General Practitioners Committee (GPC) has been pressing for the Statement of Financial Entitlements (SFE) to be amended so that an employing practice of a GP retainee is able to continue to receive the retainer fee while the retainee is on leave. We are therefore pleased to announce that the English Health Department has agreed, and has amended the SFE accordingly. The revision to the SFE can be found online.
We are hoping that the other three countries' SFEs will be amended too to reflect this change.
