GMS contractual changes 2008/2009

Further to the letter sent to the profession from Dr Laurence Buckman on 20 December 2007, the government has moved to impose contract terms on GPs.
The documents which can be downloaded as PDFs using the links on the right, detail the contractual changes being consulted upon.
In the event that there is no agreement between the GPC and NHS Employers on extended opening hours, these changes will be imposed from 1 April 2008.
The GPC is discussing how to respond and will seek the opinion of all GPs shortly. The BMA has issued a press statement expressing the GPC's anger at this imposition.
