Foundation programme pilot schemes monitoring report to the Junior Doctors Committee and the Medical Students Committee

Introduction
In January 2004, a questionnaire was sent to all deaneries in England, on behalf of the junior doctors’ committee and medical students’ committee. The aim of the questionnaire was to seek information on deaneries’ plans to establish foundation programme pilot schemes under the modernising medical careers initiative. The questionnaire covered two broad subject areas: the contractual status of pilot scheme trainees and the educational content of the scheme.
